Master of Science in Forestry is a 2-year duration postgraduate course which is equally divided into 4 semesters. It involves the study of forest and its uses. Students also can choose this particular course if they have a hobby in topical problems inclusive of climate change, prevention of damage to forests resulting from insects and fungi, problems associated with exploitation of tropical forests, wood harvesting and logistics and so forth.

Some of the job positions offered to the M.Sc Forestry graduates are
Entomologist: Entomologists study about city, forest, agricultural medical and veterinary pests and their management. Entomologists can set up their personal corporation or work for a small commercial enterprise and can also work for a big industrial organization.
Ethologist: Ethologists give attention to animal behavior and are also known as Animal Behavior specialists. They examine survival strategies and nurturing mannerisms and may give an explanation for how and why species have interaction, grow, or become extinct.
Silviculturist: Silviculturists inspire natural increase of sprouts or seedlings of favored varieties. They grow and look after forest stands. Their work is to organize research concerning issues of woodland propagation and tree growth rate, consequences of thinning on wooded area yield, period of seed viability.
Zoo Curator: Zoo Curators are chargeable for animal control. Their work is related to animal husbandry, diets, veterinary care, quarantine methods, enrichment activities, animal transportation, and research tasks.
