From the moment students arrive, the BFIT has a range of high quality support services designed to help them settle in quickly and succeed in their studies. The student support service provides ongoing support to all students. It works closely with student groups, faculties and administration staff to ensure the experience of all students is a positive and successful one.

Careers Service

The Careers Service markets the BFITians to employers as well as assisting you to learn the necessary skills to manage your career throughout life. We provide services to assist you to make informed career and study choices and invite local, national and MNC employers onto campus when they are recruiting for vacancies. As a current student you can participate in skill development workshops including labour market document preparation, maximizing your interview performance and presenting your résumé in a professional manner. An annual program of career events is provided for you, including career education in lectures, employers visiting campus, career information evenings and workshops.

Writing Centre

The Writing Centre presents seminars to advance your academic skills, focusing on reading and research skills, presenting tutorials and seminars and report writing. A conversational language support program and weekly tutorials are provided for students who have difficulties with English language, to help all students develop their skills.

Counseling Service

At the BFIT, we understand that students can experience many difficult personal or emotional issues. Students new often do not know where to get help and their ability to study can be affected. At the Counseling Service there are counselors who can help. They provide free, professional and confidential support to help manage these times as well as offer strategies to improve general wellbeing.

Student media

Getting involved in student media is a great way to gain skills, develop networks and have fun, and the BFIT has student media facilities. “Happening” : The student newspaper “Happening” was established for student news and views. Editors are elected each year, and they are joined by a large group of students who contribute articles, subedit, proofread, and help with distribution.

BFIT Student Radio

Student community radio station, is being established by the BFIT. Students will be involved in producing and presenting a variety of special interest shows offering knowledge for our community, and the station will also offer first hand training to those new to radio.

Sporting clubs and facilities

BFIT-Sports: gives students access to an extensive range of sporting facilities and clubs. Catering for everyone from athletes through to social players, BFIT Sports exists to provide and promote the best possible sport and recreation Environment. While many sporting clubs enjoy their own permanent facilities, students also have access to the BFIT playing field or ground. Athlete Support: BFIT Athlete Support and Information Service to assist eligible student athletes. By providing a flexible and responsive approach to study, the BFIT supports students to balance their sporting and academic commitments. Athletes studying at the BFIT are engaged nationally in a broad range of sports.

The Fitness Hub

The Fitness Hub provides the ultimate health and fitness solution. The on-campus gym has discounted rates and extended opening hours injecting fitness, fun and friendship in to BFIT life. They deliver the latest in fitness and resistance equipment, including treadmills. The free weights are suitable for all gym users from beginners to expert lifters. Qualified gym instructors are always on hand to provide expert fitness advice and free program consultations for new members.

Health

BFIT Health is an on-campus First Aid health service, for further providing comprehensive health care to all students and staff in a friendly and comfortable environment, the BFIT has tie ups with the best Hospitals of Dehradun for consultations, treatment & emergencies 24X7X365 days.
